Doris Richards' parents were William and Lillian (Lily) Bendall; Grandparents were Mr. & Mrs. Fred Bendall Sr. She had six brothers, Ken, Frank, Bud, Don, Roy, and Dave. All lived in Dockyard area. Doris married Owen Richards.

Tom Redhead is the grandson of Robert (1871-1962) and Sarah Ann Redhead (1869-1937) who moved to Esquimalt from England in 1907. Robert and Sarah had five children: George, Thomas, Harry, Eleanor, and Annie.

Sam Ranns, Anna's husband, was the son of Mary Ethel Ranns. Mary Ethel was the widow of John Charles Ranns and later married James Quinn Batchelor on November 3, 1927. She was the matron at the Sailors Home known also as the Sailors' Club and Soldiers & Sailors Rest at the corner of Admirals and Esquimalt Rd. The building was sold in 1935 and became the Tudor House Beer Parlour.
