The Esquimalt Waterworks Company served areas within the present boundaries of the municipality of Esquimalt. It ceased activity in 1925 and its operations were taken over by the City of Victoria.

James Robert Findlay was born in Esquimalt, B.C., Feb. 24, 1927. He was a draughtsman for the Municipality of Esquimalt, 1951-1954, a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force, 1954-1959, and an employee of the City of Victoria, 1960-1988. He is a lifelong resident of Esquimalt.
John (Jack) Fleming was born in 1936. During retirement, he volunteered on many committees including the Esquimalt Police Board.
Emily Forster (nee Cook) was born in Esquimalt and lived most of her life there. Her father, George J. Cook, was a well-known local businessman, who built a rental hall beside the family home on Nelson St.
