Tom Redhead is the grandson of Robert (1871-1962) and Sarah Ann Redhead (1869-1937) who moved to Esquimalt from England in 1907. Robert and Sarah had five children: George, Thomas, Harry, Eleanor, and Annie.

Doris Richards' parents were William and Lillian (Lily) Bendall; Grandparents were Mr. & Mrs. Fred Bendall Sr. She had six brothers, Ken, Frank, Bud, Don, Roy, and Dave. All lived in Dockyard area. Doris married Owen Richards.

Ken Richmond was raised in Esquimalt, the son of Mary Ann and William Richmond, both from Yorkshire. He was the second youngest of 11 children. Ken Richmond worked for Burnett's Foundry, among other jobs. He married Rita.

Reed D. Robertson was born in Toronto, Nov. 7, 1958. He was a supply technician for the Department of National Defence.

Darwin Robinson was born in Parry Sound and came to Esquimalt with the Royal Canadian Navy. Following a career of 39 years, he retired in 1995. He is married to the former Sherri Smith, they have four children. Mr. Robinson was a member of Municipal Council from 1979-1985, and was Mayor from 2003 to 2005.

Sherri Robinson is a fifth-generation Esquimalt resident, the great-great granddaughter of pioneers James and Elizabeth Bland who established the Halfway House on the old Esquimalt Road in 1859. An Esquimalt High School grad, she is a researcher, writer, genealogist, storyteller and historian. Sherri is the Volunteer Archivist for the township and has more than 40,000 hours of volunteer time spanning over thirty years to her credit. She conceived and wrote seven Township Walking Tours. She is the author of "Esquimalt Street and Roads: a History" published in 1995 and "Esquimalt Centennial 1912-2012". She also wrote and performed a one woman play, Passion and Intrigue in Old Esquimalt Village. She is a member of the Old Cemeteries Society and participates as a tour guide at Ross Bay Cemetery. Sherri chaired the Esquimalt Heritage Advisory Committee for at least 10 years. She is the recipient of two Hallmark Society communication awards and in 2010 she received the Esquimalt Medal of Merit for service to the community. Sherri and her husband Darwin, have four adult children, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, and live in a 1911 heritage home on historic Old Esquimalt Road.

The Roger family of 11 arrived in Victoria in April, 1908, from Scotland. They lived in tents at what is now Gorge Vale Golf Course for 6 months. Jim Roger attended Lampson St. School and was Supervisor of Boom Defences during WWII. His wife, the former Rose Durrant, grew up in Esquimalt. Her parents operated Durrant's Bakery.
