Alexander "Sandy" McLean was a long time Esquimalt resident who was in the navy and sailed on aircraft carrier HMCS Magnificient.
Isobel and her sister, Jean Woods (both nee McLean) provided an oral history in 1991. A transcript can be viewed/obtained from the Esquimalt Municipal Archives.
Isobel passed away February 12, 1997.
Julien Joseph McGrath was born in Victoria, BC on December 26, 1922. He married Betty McGrath (nee Neilson) from Napanee, Ontario in 1948. Julien died in his home on Lugrin Place in Esquimalt on March 29, 2002 at the age of 79.
Betty was born in Napanee, ON in 1929 to Arthur Moore and Audrey Neilson. She spent her childhood and adolescence in Bloomfield, Prince Edward County, ON. In 1948, she married Julien "Mac" McGrath and moved to Victoria. As a military wife, Betty lived in BC, AB, MB, NB and Germany, returning to Victoria in 1964. Betty's career spanned many years, in banking and the federal civil service.
Barbara McFarlane (nee Floyd) is an employee of the Greater Victoria School Board and attended Lampson Street School (Esquimalt) and Esquimalt High School. Her mother is Beatrice (McDonald) Floyd.
