Victor A. Simmons was born in Victoria, B.C. in 1913 and resided there as well as in Port Alberni. He married Beth Dobbie in 1937 and they had two daughters. He was in the retail clothing business in Victoria, and has had several articles published in the Islander Magazine. Victor lived in Esquimalt from 1977 until his death in 1995.

Roy was a navy man joining up in 1926 and moving west from Hamilton, Ontario to Victoria, BC for a 36 year career in the RCN. He was a life member of the Trafalgar Pro Pat's Legion and a member of the Chiefs & PO's Mess. He was a decorated war veteran and won a rare Polish Cross in the Second World War. After he retired he went to work in the provincial museum where he stayed until 1970. He and his wife Lillie had three children.

Barney Steel was born England 1911 and moved to Esquimalt in 1961. He became a clarinet instructor for the Tri-Service School, HMCS Naden. He was a member of the Chief's & P.O.'s Association Band, as well as the Victoria Rods & Reels Club. He also worked as a freelance photographer.
