      History

      Margaret (Peggy) Archer was born on Apr. 28, 1920 in Duncan, B.C. Her family moved to Esquimalt in 1926. She attended Lampson St. Elementary and Esquimalt Sr. High. She married Frederick Ernest Hambrook on June 24, 1942 at St. Paul's Anglican church. They moved to 323 Kinver St. in 1954. Peggy received further education from Victoria College, Victoria Normal School and UVic. Peggy was a teacher for 1 year near Terrace B.C., then returned to teach at several school around Esquimalt, including Lampson St. and Esquimalt High. She taught for a total of 34 years. Peggy moved to Rose Manor in 1997.
