Eugene William (Gene) Carr, pro hockey player, lounging on an inner tube on the shores of the Gorge waterway during the Great Inner Tube Race. Gene was a Canadian profession ice hockey forward who played 465 in the NHL for the St. Louis blues, New York Rangers, Los Angeles Kings, Pittsburgh Penguins and Atlanta Flames.
