Emily Harrop (nee Spencer) married Arthur Wellington Harrop, who served in the Canadian Navy. Emily's parents were Albert F. Spencer and Sydney (nee Dodd). They were born in England and moved to Canada ca. 1914. Emily and her parents both lived on Foster Street in Esquimalt.

Frances Elinor Elizabeth Harris (nee Collis) was born July 7, 1903, in Cumberland, B.C. She was educated in Esquimalt and after marrying in 1929 she and her husband left for China, where they spent several years, including two and a half years in a Japanese concentration camp. Following her husband's death in 1949 she took over the Royal Roads Kindergarten and ran it until 1974. Elizabeth (Beth) Harris died June 5, 1989.

Margaret (Peggy) Archer was born on Apr. 28, 1920 in Duncan, B.C. Her family moved to Esquimalt in 1926. She attended Lampson St. Elementary and Esquimalt Sr. High. She married Frederick Ernest Hambrook on June 24, 1942 at St. Paul's Anglican church. They moved to 323 Kinver St. in 1954. Peggy received further education from Victoria College, Victoria Normal School and UVic. Peggy was a teacher for 1 year near Terrace B.C., then returned to teach at several school around Esquimalt, including Lampson St. and Esquimalt High. She taught for a total of 34 years. Peggy moved to Rose Manor in 1997 and passed away on October 5, 1998.

Peggy provided an oral history in 1990. A transcribed copy can be viewed/obtained from the Esquimalt Municipal Archives.

Frank Hall was born in 1897 in England. His father was in the Royal Navy and in 1910 joined the Canadian Navy. Family moved to Canada in 1911. Father joined Naval College and Frank worked there. Joined Canadian Engineering Corps 1916 and went overseas

Hadfield, Edna

Edna Mumford was born Sept. 6, 1912 in New Westminster. She was married on Oct. 19, 1940 to Raymond A. Hadfield and had three children: John (1942-76), Ian (1944) and Paul (1950).
