Historique
Herbert P.R. Brown was a native of Victoria born to Mary and Tom Brown on May 5, 1919. He had one sister; Charmaine and a brother; Bill. He married Sylvia Conyers in June of 1944 and after returning from the war, he became the third generation to join the family firm of P.R. Brown & Sons Ltd. in real estate and insurance. The firm later became Brown Bros.
The house at 1182 Old Esquimalt Road (now 706 Warder Place) was built in 1913 for the Herbert's grandfather, Percival R. Brown.
