Biografie
Shirley Louise Nute (nee Filewod) was the daughter of Clement and Vera Filewod of Esquimalt, B.C. Her mother (1893-1973) was born in Esquimalt to the March family. Shirley's father (d.1975) came to Esquimalt as a medic with the Royal Navy on Rainbow, 1904. Shirley grew up at 888 Lampson St. and married Daryl Edmond Nute in December 1946. Daryl and Shirley built a house at 885 Tillicum Rd. An accredited electrician, Shirley wired this house despite Daryl being a navy electrician.
