Photo of Esquimalt Service Home (boarding house) run by Miss Ruby Pearl Blyth, located beside Memorial Park. This was in existence from 1942-1951. The owner of the house was Jack (John) Borradaile. Miss Ruby Pearl Blyth referred to as 'Deaconess' managed the home. On 16 July 1946 she married Rev. William Bauchope Mclntosh, a minister with the United Church of Canada. They moved to Armstrong, BC shortly after. Sam and Rose M. Whitworth managed the home from 1949-1951. Thereafter, it was the Whitworth family home.
