Biografie
William Robert Nunn was born in Esquimalt, B.C., Mar. 3, 1904. He was educated in Esquimalt and was a merchant seaman from 1920 to 1939. After service in the Royal Canadian Navy during World War II, he worked for the Canadian Post Office from 1945 to 1969. Married July 1936 to May Alda and had three children, Eleanor May (m. Reid) b. 1937, Patricia Evelyn (m. Madsen) b. 1938, Robert Albert b. 1949.
William's grandfather, Robert Henry Nunn, was born in Romford, Essex England. He was Esquimalt's Special Constable and Poundkeeper (c. 1918) and rode a horse named Buck. Buck was a surplus horse originally from Work Point Barracks and purchased by Robert Nunn in 1916.
