Biographical history
Arthur Young was born Oct. 23, 1923. He was a longtime resident of Esquimalt, B.C., where he received his education at Lampson St. School. He and two brothers operated the Esquimalt Meat Market, which was established by their father in 1912. Arthur Young served Esquimalt as alderman (1968-1970) and mayor (1970-1980).

The fonds consists of photographs of winter scenes on Lampson Street, a 1917 photograph of the Roll of Honour monument erected at St. Paul's Church and a portrait of Arthur Young.
