Biographical history
Douglas Nelson was born in Montreal. He was an artillery officer WWII, Personnel Officer, Dockyard post WWII until 1979. He was an Honorary Base historian in 1979 author of historical articles on military history, including two for the book "Beyond the Blue Bridge".
Doug provided an oral history in 1990. A transcription can be viewed/obtained from the Esquimalt Municipal Archives.
