Biographical history
Marjorie Hawker (nee Coton) was a resident of Esquimalt. She was born July 12, 1919. Her parents came from England to Esquimalt where they ran a corner store, known as "Round the Corner" or "Coton's". She was a member of St. Paul's Church and volunteered at the Esquimalt Archives. She and her husband, Bill, had two children, Jeffery and Mary. Marjorie passed away August 7, 2008.
Marjorie provided an oral history in 1991. A transcript can be obtained/viewed at the Esquimalt Municipal Archives.
