Donald Murray is son of Captain Harry Murray and his wife Gladys (nee Smith). Gladys was the daughter of Fanny and Charles H. Smith. C. H. Smith was a streetcar conductor and a member of Esquimalt Council for several terms between 1925 and 1949.
