Biographical history

George Isbister, son of Mr. & Mrs. James Isbister, grew up in Esquimalt, worked in Dockyard and Yarrows and joined the Canadian army, where he was a wireless operator and instructor in the Signal Corps. He has lived in Ontario, Alberta and the Northwest Territories. His wife, the former Vera Kirkup, died in 1983.

Gift of George Isbister; 1 accession donated in 1994. Originals were copied and returned to donor.

Fonds consists of family photographs, views of the family pier, and one Esquimalt Public School class photo (1885). Also included is one letter documenting family history and a royal visit.
