Biographical history
George Isbister, son of Mr. & Mrs. James Isbister, grew up in Esquimalt, worked in Dockyard and Yarrows and joined the Canadian army, where he was a wireless operator and instructor in the Signal Corps. He has lived in Ontario, Alberta and the Northwest Territories. His wife, the former Vera Kirkup, died in 1983.
