Biographical history
The Roger family of 11 arrived in Victoria in April, 1908, from Scotland. They lived in tents at what is now Gorge Vale Golf Course for 6 months. Jim Roger attended Lampson St. School and was Supervisor of Boom Defences during WWII. His wife, the former Rose Durrant, grew up in Esquimalt. Her parents operated Durrant's Bakery.

Scope and content
Fonds consists of photographs of Fitz's Football Club and areas under development in Esquimalt. Also included are textual records relating to the Esquimalt Garden Club, presentation of Esquimalt's official coat of arms and images of businesses that were demolished to make way for new development, such as Admirals Square.
