Biografie
Esquimalt resident Marjorie Kathleen Hawker (nee Coton, 1919-2008) was a friend of Phoebe Edith Simmons (nee Buxton). Leonard and Annie Coton, her parents, were proprietors of “Round the Corner” or “Coton’s” grocery story, 1209 Lyall Street. She was member of St. Paul’s Church and an Esquimalt Archives volunteer. Marjorie and husband Bill had two children, Jeffery and Mary.
Marjorie participated in the archive’s oral history program in 1991. Her transcript can be read at the Esquimalt archive.
