Biographical history
Walter J. Phillips, a lifelong area resident, worked as a marine engineer for 40 years. He is active in the Masonic orders and is a driver for the Cancer Clinic. He lived at 519 Lampson St. from 1915 until 1946, went to Lampson St. School and Esquimalt High School. Walter and Joan Phillips have one son, Michael. Donor compiled the history of United Service Lodge from 1962-1994. He is a Past Master of the Lodge (1959) as was his father, W. J. Phillips, (1902, 1904, 1906).
